I was originally a Mechanical Engineer working in Hydraulics and Pneumatics.  I got my ONC's in Engineering and another in Welding then an HNC in Computer Systems and studied both Day release and Night School into my 30's. I moved into the Alarm Industry in 1991 working for all the big companies based in Glasgow. I have had roles in Design and Estimating and Sales and also ran teams of Fire Engineers on Large Installations. I became more known for Commissioning Systems and Fault Finding. With that background I decided Self Employment was the way forward for me. Still to this day companies contact me if perhaps their guys don't have experience on systems I have and I help out along with chasing my own contracts and maintaining Systems for my customers.
